Genoa - Storage areas for heavy vehicles are currently being identified in the Genoa port area to reduce critical issues in the event of traffic jams along the A26 Voltri-Alessandria and A7 Genoa-Milan motorways.

This was announced by the Prefecture, after a summit on mobility following the collapse of the Morandi bridge. The Prefecture explained that the initiative is also valid “for the purposes of emergency planning for the winter season” because since 14 August “it is still necessary for those taking long-distance motorway routes to Livorno and Florence to bypass Genoa using the route via the A26 and the A7.”
