“System secure?” ABS asks superyacht owners at the monaco boat show

London - ABS has developed a groundbreaking new FCI Cyber Risk methodology to measure cyber security risk associated with operational technology, providing clients a calculated risk index for vessels, fleets and facilities.

London - ABS is participating at the Superyacht Insurance Workshop on Cyber Risks that will be held at the Monaco Yacht Club on November 22, 2018. With all of the state-of-the-art equipment and systems, powerful connectivity and enhanced communications on board today’s yachts come greater vulnerabilities than ever before. It is important for yacht owners and management companies to understand your cyber risks and mitigate them. ABS has developed a groundbreaking new FCI Cyber Risk methodology to measure cyber security risk associated with operational technology, providing clients a calculated risk index for vessels, fleets and facilities. The ABS’ FCI Cyber Risk approach quantifies cyber security risk and gives owners and operators an actionable strategy to reduce cyber risk onboard a vessel. Effectively, it places the controls for responding to cyber risks back into the hands of the asset owner. ABS Advanced Solution (AS) objectives for this seminar include raising awareness of cyber threats to yachts, highlithing the differences between Information Technology and Operational Technology as well as discussing cyber best practices. AS will also discuss practical understanding of cyber vessel assessments, implementing best practices and how to gain recognition for cyber security regulatory bodies.
