The plan also provides more space for companies operating in the area of ship repairs and a redevelopment of some areas of the Pier. The project was produced by Zena Cruise Terminal, a 40% owned subsidiary of Costa Crociere, 40% San Giorgio del Porto shipyard and 20% by Costa Edutainment (which manages the Genoa Aquarium). The green light for the project will have to be lit by the Port Authority, but the details of the costs are already known: the total investment will be of 88 million euros and of these 40 million will be made available by private subjects. Costa Cruises, for months now, has been working on the project and an opinion on the operation was also asked of the world-famous architect Renzo Piano .
