Helsinki - Despite the slowdown in Finnish economic growth, Finnlines is on the way to successfully ending the year. The result after three quarters is higher than in the previous year.
“Reducing fuel consumption and cutting harmful emissions have been one of the key elements of our Group’s strategy for a long time,” said Finnlines’s president and ceo, Emanuele Grimaldi. “This requires vast amount of investments, which we carried out during the past years.”
The Finnlines Group’s, part of the Grimaldi Group since the end of 2006, has had a revenue for January–September of 450.8 million euros, showing a small increase over the preceding year’s 447.9 millions. Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation, EBITDA, was EUR 136.8 (129 in 2018) million. The result for the reporting period was 81.8 million euros in January–September 2019, compared to 75.3 million euros during the corresponding period in 2018. “In spite of the slowdown in the Finnish economic growth, we are still on track to achieve another excellent result,” Grimaldi stated.
