Rome - Confetra, the Confederation of Transport and Logistics, has approved its new Statute, which introduces changes ranging “from the revitalization of regional organisations to the establishment of the Coordination for Southern Italy, to the provision of ‘pink quotas’ for the composition of the bodies, to the strengthening of the board’s powers in terms of political guidance and internal governance.” The confederation announced this in a press release.

“These changes are necessary in order to update the rules of our being together”, declared the President of Confetra, Nereo Marcucci, emphasising that “with Fercargo having joined the confederation, we now have a complete representation of rail cargo alongside that of air cargo, port terminal operators, couriers and warehouses, the freight forwarding industry, freight villages and customs services, shipping agents and fumigators. We want to grow further in road transport alongside Trasportounito, AITE and the Association of Moving Companies.”
